China University of Petroleum (East China) is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is one of the universities that is a key construction of the "211 Project" and carries out the construction of the "985 Project Advantageous Discipline Innovation Platform", and has established a graduate school. The school is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education, five major energy enterprise groups, the Ministry of Education, and the People's Government of Shandong Province. It is an important base for cultivating high-level talents in petroleum and petrochemical industries, and is known as the "cradle of petroleum technology and management talents". It has now become a university with a focus on industry, distinctive petroleum and petrochemical characteristics, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines. Entering the ranks of national "Double First Class" universities in both 2017 and 2022. The school has a complete education system and a reasonable structure of various educational levels.
